A Day @ Petmovers~!

Finally, i got to bring Ebi & Emma to Petmovers for a run! It has been pretty long since we last went there. The weather yesterday was pretty good, cloudy & non-sunny. Decided to bring them for a short-run @ around 1+pm, before bringing them back for bathing. Packed their water-bottle & towel, collars & leashes & off we go!

Asked my buddy along with me & we met @ the carpark. The dogs were getting excited in the car & Emma was whining away @ the back & jumped to sit on Collin's lap. Ebi was sulking away @ the back coz Emma took his place.. poor boy~! Newae, when we arrived, i was suprised that it was pretty quiet. There were only like, 4 other dogs around. 1 JRT, 1 Sheepdog, 1 Silky Terrier & 1 biggy Husky (he had a very beautiful fluffy coat!) Off-leashed them & off they go about sniffing & checking out the other dogs. It was all fine at first until the JRT decided to come over & stalk Emma.. muahahaa~ Emma was only screaming to 'get him off' until she got really agitated & started to jump, chase & scream @ the JRT - as if to scare him away. LOL~ It was so funny! The JRT had the 'never say die' attitude, he refuses to give up & he just kept coming back to disturb Emma & followed her all around. =]

Oh btw, I never had the chance to get Ebi to go up & down the "Ramp aka A-Frame" perfectly. He would either stop in the middle of the track or refusing to even go up the ramp or he moves halfway & i have to drag him down.. hahaha~ Thus, i decided to try on Emma & got the leash to hook on her. I brought her to the Ramp & suprisingly, she confidently walked up & down the ramp just by me leading her the way, without me even having to drag her! And it was not only once, but twice! Fwah! I didn't know my gal was so 'courageous'!! LOL~ I tried again later on, this time without the leash & she didn't manage to do it already. Chey~ I had to place her on the ramp in the middle of the up-slope before she will walk & continue the down-slope. Perhaps i must use treats next time. Geez!

Oh yeah, several times Ebi also tried to help Emma by fighting that JRT off. He didn't bother until the JRT came over to try & hump him several times. He got angry & hand-in-hand with Emma, they chased the JRT all around the field. Tsktsk~


Here's a short clip of how Emma 'fought' with the JRT. Look at the JRT's perseverance! He really never wants to move too far away from Emma, not even when the owners came & called to him. He was obsessed with my qia-beh-beh.. LOL~

We finally left the dog-run @ around 2.45pm as the sky was very dark. It looked like it was raining soon. But before we head back to Bedok, we turned to U-Petmegamart to grab their favourite biscuits first. When paying, i saw Ah Dai the gentle giant was having his lunch (hand-fed by the staff summore! hahaha) & when he finished his meal (looked like many cooked ribs/meats or whatever).. he had a big bowl of MILK with kibbles! He was happily gobbling his lunch lying-down while the many on-lookers was snapping his pictures away. How cute!

The dogs played till they were so dirty. And being the lazy me, i decided to send them to the groomers for a bath instead. LOL~ It was fast, they could bath, blow-dry & brush the dogs & hand-over the dogs to me within an hour's time! If i will to do it myself, i needs to take at least 2.5-3 hours! Kekeke~

Notti Emma loves watching the scenery during car-rides. She loves walking around on the car-seats, standing up to catch the scenery outside, bark her lungs out INSIDE the car when there's bangalas / motorist passing by & look at her eg. Which is why i always have to strap her to the seat-belt @ the back-seat! If she's in the front seat, she would stand up & watch the scenery & happily park herself & rest her front paws on the dashboard! *pengZz*




Who says dogs can't drive? Ebi - the happy & careful driver. LOL~

Till then~ I can't wait to meet-up the ladies, their men & their dogs next week! Was thinking to go ECP, a long walk & then lunch @ Lagoon & chit-chat till late, i miss the yummy food there! *slurps* It always nice to meet-up the gang & it's been quite some time since the 6 musketeers re-unite. Hurhur~

Btw, I'm out-stationed next week from 24-29 Nov for work. SIGH~ I don't even have the mood to go, not to mention i have not even start my packing & stuffs. The thought of going overseas for WORK & not HOLIDAY dampens my mood by half. And the thought of leaving my dogs & not being able to see/cuddle/kiss them for a good 6 days dampens my mood by the remaining half. I feel more sad than happy man~ Shucks. I wanna bring the dogs out & let them enjoy themselves on Sunday before i fly off on Monday! GOD, please give us GOOD WEATHER pls! =)

Thank you too, to all the other co-ordinators to make this event a wonderful one. And thanks for taking the effort to organise the games & preparing the prizes as well~ =)

Doggy food & human food was great with many varities~ We & the dogs throughly enjoyed ourselves with all the good food & the fun, especially Ebi & Emma! =p (Saltues Haze for the great doogy meals she prepared, the dogs loved it!)

*Pssttt~ I apologise for Emma's "noisyness". She's turns into a little monster when outside as she was simply TOO excited to see so many hoomans & doggy pals~ She can be a little hostile as doesn't quite like it to have other doggie stalking her & kept on sniffing her butt.. hahaha~ (Oreo & Rudolf boy kena from her, soooo paiseh! But yeah, im sure the owners are pretty fine & they laughed it off..) Oh yes, she does also barks & screams, to act as if she's fierce & snappish.. but all-in-all, she's 1 sweet little gal whom meant no harm at all, at least she doesn't bites nor attacks. So no worries ok? (",)

The place was great, spacious & "clean", no grasses & plants. Thus not too much worries of ants/ticks. Hehe~ Thanks to Joys again for the wonderful idea & bearing the costs of the booking of venue. Arigato! Geez~

Anyway, i was feeling kinda weird & "lone-ranger" when i first arrived, not until Adeline, Victor, Gary, Kat, Jo & Perry came along with their schnauzers.. *phews* Lovely Joys did came over & chatted though~ Some other familiar faces & newbies were pretty much friendly as well, at least we smiled & managed to talk alittle. The rest of the familiar faces were enjoying being in their own-world & seemed abit of anti-sociable. Whatever, I couldn't get myself bothered with them anyway. =) I only needs my MS gang & kakis, the world is beautiful with friendly & responsible owners like them~ Time will also tell you who the REAL pals are! Hurhur~

They organised & played 3 games~ 1st game being the Fastest Dog, 2nd game being The Longest Staying Dog & 3rd game being the Best Trick~ Most owners were pretty ON & took part in the games. Emma took part in the Fastest Dog & Longest Staying Dog. She didn't win the fastest dog but she suprised me & went to clinch a position in the Longest Staying Dog! I got her to do down-stay & walked off to watch all the doggies.. i think there were 10 dogs or more whom took part. I was also telling Josephine that i doubt Emma will be able to do it since she didn't have her choke-chain on (thus, she's in off training mode, LOL~) Anyway, Divot came in 3rd & the last 2 standing was Cobi & Emma. Despite the many distractions from the other doggies running around & sniffing them, they did not move an inch. Gary then walked in to distract them, to & fro. He also purposely dropped the leash on the floor in front of Emma. I think she got a shock coz i saw her butt lifting the floor abit & looked as though ready to run off anytime. Muahahaa~ After awhile Cobi broke his stay & ran-off to Victor & this Emma followed suit. Thus, they came in the 2nd & 1st position. Geez~ Whenever i expects Emma to do well, she would disappoint me time & again. But whenever I don't expect anything out of her, she would somehow suprise me & give in her best.. Why?? Whatever it is im just proud of her! That's my gal! =)

We left the party @ around 8.30pm & proceeded home. I washed the towel & cleaned up the dogs while i prepared & changed to go off to Pasir Ris. Gwen has her 21st birthday party on & im expected to be there with my sisters. =p

Nevertheless, we have a wonderful evening spent with the other owners & dogs. It was nice to see some familiar faces & the newbies. I finally got to meet Rudolf boy & his pretty Mommy! I find it nice to catch up & gather like this often, with the MS kakis. The only pity was that my 'Dearie' couldn't make it, else it would have been more fun & enjoyable! =p Thanks Joys once again for the wonderful party & the co-ordinators for organising the evnt. We had lotsa fun & the dogs throughly enjoyed themselves~! They KO-ed after cleaning, when i was leaving the house. Cheers~!
