Ebi & Emma goes boarding & Our BKK Trip~~

12th March, Thursday - I was on 1/2 day leave as i decided to come home early to spend some time alone with the dogs, bath & get them ready then pack their stuffs before they heads over to the respective 'houses'. =)

Winnie & Ah Too was really kind enough to come over & fetch Emma & the Hammies. They thought it could lessen my load as i don't have to travel to & fro with so much stuffs & save me time as i had not finished packing for my trip. I'm really grateful indeed as i was caught in a massive jam (BKE) on the way to Rachel's house. By the time we reached, it was 10+pm! The jam itself took me 1.5hrs when i left the house @ 8pm to pickup Cat @ Parkway before continuing our jouney to CCK. *sweats*

I missed the dogs badly shortly after i reached home & went for my very late dinner. But, i knew they would be very well taken care of by my dearies & put my mind at ease. =) Ebi & Emma would definately enjoy their stays while im away~

-= 13 March - Friday (Day 1) =-

Itinerary: Lunch @ MBK + Shopping, Central World, Erawan Shrine, Platinum Mall, Dinner @ Yaowarat, Suan Lum Night Bazaar

I finished packing & doing my stuffs by 3am, slept & woke up @ 4am to bath & change, then packed my necessities into my luggage. By 5am, everybody was out of the house & we squeezed into 1 car & Sam (bro-in-law) droved us to the airport. Our flight was @ 7.15am, by the time we reached airport & unloaded the luggages from the car, it was about 5.30am~ We checked in our bags & went for our breakfast @ the Killiney Kopitiam in T1.

We reached Bangkok, travelled to our guesthouse, unpacked our luggages & left for an early lunch @ MBK Foodcourt & the ladies did manicure (nail-arts) @ only 200 Baht (SGD 8.00+)! We then headed over to Central World in search of the petshop Jo told me about, but couldn't find it. Then we proceeded to Erawan Shrine (4-face buddha) to pray & then proceeding to Platinum Mall for some shopping. Mom & sis brought alot of things & thus, we decided to head back to the guesthouse 1st before we continue to Yaowarat for dinner & more late-night shopping. Heez~

Dinner @ Yaowarat~ Yummy yummy!!

Oh upon reaching, we were 'lured' into a massage parlour for an hour of foot+body+shouler massage @ 200Baht. We went in rightaway coz the place was small & cozy & it can hold only 5 of us just nice, no strangers around. Cat can scream/laugh aloud for all she wans since she gets tickled easily..muahaha~ Best of all, after the massage we feel so relaxed we could shop & walk at ease non-stop!

They have street stalls on the middle of the roads now & thus we had more 'trouble' combing the place coz the place seems so much bigger than before.
Photobucket

Was in search of the petshops & finally found 1 that sells pretty nice apparels. But most of their sizes were of xxxxs (fits only yorkshires)~ Finally found an 'big apple' tee for Ebi & a 'cheerleader' dress for Emma. Phew~ Their prices were rather high but i was bent on getting the 2 apparels though it looked so-so, coz i've been searching for doggy stuffs since morning & needs to reward myself! Hmmpf~
Photobucket
Dad went to this beer garden that features live band while we continue shopping!

We left @ 12++am & reached the guesthouse around 1+am, bathed & slept.. preparing for more shopping @ Chatuchak Market the next early morning & then attending Eric & Bibi's wedding dinner @ night~

-= 14 March - Saturday (Day 2) =-

Itinerary: Breakfast @ Guesthouse Coffeeshop, Chatuchak Market + Lunch, Eric & Bibi's Wedding Dinner, Khao San Road

Had our breakfast @ the coffeeshop downstairs, proceeded to Chatuchak Weekend Market @ 9am! Upon reaching, I left Mom+Dad & sis to do their own shopping while i went to the Pets Section wherby i spent 3 full hours there. *blush* LOL~ However, im glad because i bought so much doggy stuffs (apparels, mattresses, toys, bowls on stand eg.) back! I had a plastic bag (3/4 of my size) with all the 'good stuffs' loaded inside & my parents was simply amused. Keke. They did not make any noise but insist that i've brought new toys & apparels for Ebi & Emma, their precious gems. =)

Cute little boy that grabbed many attention. Many tourists like us made donations to him. He's just so cute! =)

We left Chatuchak by 4.45pm, rushed back to guesthouse to bath & change, then proceeded to Eric & Bibi's wedding dinner @ Raffles Hotel or something...

We reached the Hotel @ 6.30pm promptly & met up with more relatives & friends over there. Needless to say, bride was beautiful & the groom was handsome. It was a grand affair & the decorations was really nicely done-up. The 'walkway' to the grand ballroom was lined with the wedding fotos in frames & eg. The wedding photos were simply so well-taken & soooo beautiful. We would say it was so much well taken than some of those taken in S'pore. Their outdoor shoots were simply awesome!

-= 15 March - Sunday (Day 3) =-

Itinerary: Breakfast @ Marina HK Cafe, Pratunam Market + Lunch, Platinum Mall/Chatuchak Market, HAPA Spa, Dinner @ Marina HK Cafe

9am, we met & went for breakfast at the nearby Marina HK Cafe - loved their roasted duck noodles & ice milk tea! Then, we took a Taxi to Pratunam Market & shopped till 1pm. Cat & Doreen wanted to shop @ Platinum Mall as they had not finished combing the place during the 1st day. I got Dad & Mom to go along with them as Dad was tired & wanted to sit down to have beer & relax while Mom wanted to do pedicure (nail art). Thus i decided to take a Taxi & went down to Chatuchak Market alone (yes, again! i'll not get sick of the place anyway, lol). We agreed to meet-up @ MBK about 5pm to do our last shopping for local snacks as we needed to rush back to the guesthouse to put our shopping bags & leaves for our Spa & Massages @ 6.30pm~

I went to Chatuchak to get more tshirts & shorts to wear @ home, nylon harness+leash sets for the dogs for use @ Sentosa this weekend & more apparels for Cat's & my friend. Time passes really fast & i left Chatuchak @ 4+pm to meetup the rest @ MBK Center at 5pm. I spent the remaining money on the local snacks. =p

Very nice & relaxing. We went for the Organic Body Scrub + Body Aromatherapy Massage & Hydro Aromatherapy Milk Bath while Dad & Mom went for the Aroma Foot Massage & Royal Thai Massage. Very comfortable & shiok indeed~

It was off to Marina HK Cafe again for dinner as it was already 10pm by the time we were all done. Too lazy to travel far off to Yaowarat again & thus decided to go somewhere nearer to the guesthouse where we can finish early & do back to do packing. We were all back by 11+pm & packed our luggages. =)

-= 16 March - Monday (Day 4) =-

We booked the same van (as we took from the airport to guesthouse during day 1) to pick us up at 6am. Then proceeded to Baiyoke Botique to pickup Agnes & Venus before we proceeded to the airport. Agnes & Venus went with 1 luggage each & came back with 1 luggage each as they didn't buy alot. Ours? We went with 4 filled luggages & 5 extra empty bags & came back with.. 10 filled luggages/bags!! LOLLLL~ I bought the most coz the doggy stuffs was already 1 1/2 big bag filled. Kekeke. =]

It's been a very long time since 5 of us travelled together & i can't wait to go for the next holiday together again! Brought the doggy stuffs back for Winnie & Rachel to thank them for taking such good care of Ebi & Emma too, during my absence. No words can express my gratitude, really! =) I promised the duos loads of good stuffs back for them & i did it! Heh~

Bangkok, here we come!!

Hoorayyyyyyyyyy!! We're only 3 days away to Bangkok~~ Am getting all excited already! Because... 1) it's been really long since my family (5 of us) travelled together, 2) it's couzzie Eric's wedding! he's finally getting hitched with his long-time thai-chinese gf: Bibi, 3) it's the first-ever wedding ceremony we're attending in Thailand! but we're skipping the morning ceremony coz it's way too early & we wanted to go Chatuchak, so we'll look forward to the dinner instead. =p 4) shopping, shopping & more shopping!! chatuchak, platinum mall, pratunam..~~ woooooo! 5) thai foods! the hot & spicy, tom-yam, thai desserts~ yummy!! (",)

OoooHhhh!! Most importantly, shopping for the dogs!! Beds, apparels, toys & accesories~~ I've got so much on my mind! I'm sooooo looking forward to get new beds/mattress for the dogs, new singlets/tshirts for Ebi boy & new dresses/singlets for Emma gal. Hmmm, i will also need to get those nylon collars & leads too, so i can use it on the dogs when we goes to Sentosa when i returns, hurhur~

Oh yah! Not forgetting to help my dearies with the singlets/shirts for their duos too. And frontline plus for Angel~ I think i need to prepare a list & bring it with me so i wouldn't leave anything out. Heez~

Yes yes yessssssssssss~! 3 more days to go. Btw, have applied 1/2 day leave on Thursday so i can go home & play with the dogs, pack their stuffs before sending them over to Ah Chel & Ah Nie's house. Awwww~ im sure gonna be missing them so muchh! I do hope they behave well & don't create troubles for the ladies. =p

Life is short..., enjoy it~!

Life is short, we should learn to treasure our loved ones & everything around us, not waiting to live & regret it later. Work hard, play hard! (",)

Well, I think what they say is so, so right. Why should i even get bothered about it?? These losers have no life, why do i have to be the same? Anyway, the more i say or try to defend myself, the worse the matter gets. Thus, i shall just close my eyes to certain things. Ignorance is bliss~ She can blabber whatever nonsense or self-creating non-existence stories she likes. I don't even wish to know what she's trying to gain out of it. (-_-")

Anddddd yessss! It's time to wake-up already. I should spend my time better somewhere else. She loves living in 'delusion';- fantasize, creating stories & making a big hoo-ha out of everything - so be it. Pathetic indeed~ Perhaps, she can only find solace in flaming me & trying to get others to boycott me or something? Whatever, i don't even care. The truth shall speaks for itself. =)

Like i mentioned, this blog is purely set-up for my own pleasure & for my friends on the updates of my pooches. Don't even bother to come in & read the updates or view the pictures if you don't like it, nobody forces you to anyway. Confront me face-to-face if you're unhappy instead of being a coward & go around only to bad-mouth or back-stab with that stinky filthy mouth of yours. If you thought you could hurt me this way, you're so wrong & so darn stupid. I wouldn't feel anything at all because you're not even a friend to start off with. And whatever you say or do, you wouldn't see me 'fall' because i have the greatest pals around me. We make friends with our heart & sincerity, not by bootlicking anyway. This is a closure & i've no wish to 'Stain' this blog further..~

Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~

*Thanks peeps for the 'encouragement'. Yes i guess ignorance is the best way out. Why do i waste time in a loser when i could spend my time somewhere better* :-)

Backdated Pics/ Marley & Me/ Upcoming BKK Trip..~

These pics of Ebi & Emma were taken using my Omnia last week on Sat/Sun respectively before Emma went for her spaying @ TJV. Been rather forgetful to upload the pics into my PC until yesterday. Hurhur~ =p

Emma loves jumping onto the front/back passenger seats whenever she feels like it. Otherwise, she tries her luck to climb onto my laps when im driving. Ultimate was when she ploughs herself onto the dashboard & look @ the car/people/scenery, leaving passerbys or other drivers laugh @ her & loooks bewildered. (",)

Oh, here's our new orders from Hamish that arrived last week. Keke~ Been running out of ideas what to buy as we've collected most of the collar designs already. I wanted the Lucy Red (new design!) badly for Emma, but i felt it wasn't fair to Ebi if i didn't buy for him, LOL~ Thus, i ended up getting the Bently Brown for him, which happens to be on sale too! Our 3 big boys all have the same collars now! Or infact, they had a few same ones. Brothers United! Hahahaa.. =p

Ebi's & Emma's new collar c/w new dog tags!!

Wooo~ I just tried out this 'thai cuisine' cafe nearby the office last week. I must say, the food's pretty good & their price were reasonable. However, it gets pretty much crowded during lunch hours of 12pm-1pm, & it was tough to see that only 2 people were very busy serving. Guess i should go when my lunch is 1.30pm~

Marley & Me

I watched the show with LE & Cat last Sunday. I must say, this is a great show - a tear-jerker at that!! :~( I've read the book & roughly knows what the movie's storyline is. Everything is just so realistic as per the book;- the cute labrador, the house with car-garage where Marley was supposingly kept at first, the ever-loving & forgiving owners, the failure on having Marley obedience-trained, the silly antics & troubles Marley get himself into.. eg. Ultra naughty yet adorablee~!

Photobucket

Watching Marley grows from a puppy reminds me of the puppy-stage when Ebi & Emma was in. Ebi creates havoc when left alone (tearing newspapers, pee pads, tissues) during teething & Emma loves chasing the birds too. =) Everyone was laughing aloud @ Marley's silly antics - jumping & humping at the trainer, grabbing the Mom's necklace & ate it - then pooed it out, pushing his body through the car windows & 'walked' along the road while the car was moving etc. etc. Hilarious!!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

Then, at the point of seeing Marley growing older & older until he had no strength to climb the stairs, followed by the sickness, the visits to the Vet, sleeping at the fireplace instead of the rooms & refusing to 'pass on' inside the house.. it was so over-whelming & my tears just couldn't stop flowing down my cheeks. Gosh! It was so utterly sad & i just can't put my minds off my own dogs (of what's going to happen many years later~) I had the urge to rush home to cuddle & kiss them. =) And towards the not-so-end of the show, wherby Marley was sleeping with the brothers in the kid's room & he was slower in his movements eg. I could already hear people sniffling & blowing noses! At the end, we controlled ourselves but still walked out of the cinema with teary-eyes & red red noses like a clown. *blushhhh*

On a happier note, Marley had lived his life to the fullest, he had great owners & was well-loved like a family member. It was heartwarming to see the 'LOVE' & unision between the family & the dog. I feel that dogs can indeed reveal the 'soft sides' of every human beings & absolutely, Ebi & Emma brought us so much love & it brought me so much closer to my family. =) We've never taken them as dogs, but rather as a part of our family. My life (or rather, Ours) is never complete without them. Which is also the excuse why i shops for them so often, feeds them with the best food & give them the best of what i can afford. ("v")

Oh Oh, i loved the funny scenes i mentioned above & the many heartwarming ones;- when Marley danced with Jennifer Aniston, when the family were out having rugby game @ the garden, when Marley happily leapt into the swimming pool & swam during viewing, when it was snowing - Marley had so much fun with his siblings & parents, when towards the end - he was offleahed & happily leapt in the sea... =)

Photobucket

This movie is a must-watch! Love, laughter, tears all packed in 1. Despite the many arising problems, the family stood close & solved the problems together~ A Pet is a lifetime commitment & they should be treated like family no matter what! Our lives will never, never be 'WHOLE' without them. =)

*****
Yippee! Can't wait. i'm 6 days away to my holiday in BKK, this time round with my whole family (mom+dad+2 sis)! It has been awhile since we last travelled together & im so looking forward to it!! =) Food & Shopping is all that's on my mind now. I can't wait to bring back loads of stuffs for Ebi & Emma, not forgettiing their bestest pals!! Wooooooooooo, shiokkkkkkkk! =p

My only concern is of cause, Ebi & Emma. It will be 4 days without them again! BoOhOOz! Definately, they have to go to my dearies (thank you!! *muacks*) or my MS Kakis if needed, because i've never trusted home boarders/pet hotels or whatsoever. Moreover, Ebi my darling boy has never gone boarding before. I'm just so glad Ah Chel offered to keep him @ her place. I guess, Ebi will be very happy to have Toby & Tamy to play with also. As usual, Emma will go to her favourite PIL house & stay-over with Junior & Jester, her dearest boy. Hurhur~ I cannot rely on my Aunty & Cousin since the duos are on BARF diet, i think they will probably find it digusting & refuses to clean the dog's mouth after meals.. LOL~

Newae, thanks for all the help rendered, dearies! I'll pack their stuffs & send the dogs to the respective houses on Thursday night as i gotta leave early morning on Friday. I'll be back to Singapore on Monday noon & will pick the dogs up in the evenings. And seriously, im very very touched (感动) to know that the girls had actually taken leave on Monday to play with the duos longer before i fetch them home in the evening. Awwwwww~ that's just so sweet!! I promise loads of good stuffs for you guys & your dogs when i return, hahaaha~ ("v")

Emma @ sterilised on 28 Feb 2009~

I finally brought Emma to TJV for her sterilisation yesterday! I had actually booked the appointment since months ago, during November perhaps? She was supposed to have the OP done in December along with Jester & Tamy, but she came on her heat & thus the operation was postponed till now..~

I had a long day yesterday as i sent Emma for basic grooming @ RPP in the morning, then proceeding to TJV, which is 35mins drive away~ Our appointment with Dr Heng was 1pm & the grooming was done @ 12.15pm~ So i rushed down immediately & i managed to make my way there w/o getting lost (since the last time i went there was 11 Oct 2007 when Ebi was neutered). And thanks Ah Chel & Garry for being my 'street-directory' too! LOL~ Luckily i had the map & written routes ready in the car. Phew!

I consulted Dr Heng this time w/o sending Emma straight in coz i wanted to ask her about Emma's hernia - though small & sometimes invisible, but i thought it was better to had it repaired. =) Dr Heng says it's not necessary as it's wasn't an active one that will grow, but it had already closed up which she mentioned something about being an 'old hernia' thingy. But since it's going to be on the same 'cut', i thought about it & gave her the go-ahead since she doesn't need to make another slit on Emma's belly. Oh! When Dr Heng told me how much she have to shave Emma, i was taken aback! Gosh, it she shaves off the skirtings, that means Emma will have 2 'holes, one on each side between the waist & legs! I would have gotten Emma's skirtings & fur trimmed & shaved if Marc was in town! But since i had no choice, i can only oblige. Dr Heng says she will try her best as i 'persuaded' her to just shave the middle part leaving the skirtings alone. LOL~

Emma was trembling badly on the cold table & Dr Heng had to sayang her & reassure her every now & then that everything is alright. She took Emma's temperature & gave her a through check-up before giving the 'clearance' for the OP to be carried out. I've also left instructions for the nurse to call me after Emma's OP because i really wanted to make sure she is alright & had woken up from the GA. I left the clinic @ around 1.45pm, proceeded for lunch @ the kopitiam nearby before heading down to Tampines & fetched Dad & Mom. =)

During all these while i was thinking & worrying about my baby gal, wondering how she was doing? I asked myself again & again why i had to put her through it? Ebi has been neutered, it doesn't matters whether Emma gets sterilised anot since i will not bring her outta the house when she comes on heat. But come to think of it, for health benefits, the mess when she's on heat & the risk of her getting preggy if i wasn't careful enough - i had to go ahead. There shouldn't be any regrets. =]

I was definately jumping with joy when the nurse called @ 5+pm & told me Emma's OP went well, she's alright & had woken up slightly. But as they wanted to keep her under longer observation, thus asked me to pick her up after 8.30pm~ Thank God! I quickly cleaned the room, vaccumed & mopped the floors, then proceeding to change the new bedding for her. I wanted everything clean for her when she comes back home. =) Anyway, she weighs 6.7kg as of yesterday & my total bill came up to : $213.75 ~ (",)

All these while, she refuses to sleep no matter how i cajoled her. Dad & Mom was heartpained to see her this way too. I had her to sleep with Mom & Dad yesterday night coz i wanted her to rest totally without any disturbance from Ebi~
Photobucket
Photobucket
As i watched & stroked her lightly, she finally fell asleep~
Photobucket
Emma will have to be blocked away from Ebi for the next 7-10 days as i didn't want the both of them to play rough, neither did i want Ebi to lick her wound.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Emma was simply afraid of the E-Collar! She wouldn't move a single bit once the e-collar is on her head. She will sit & stay there for the longest time, not even luring her with food/treats would help. BoOhOo!

Anyway, thanks guys for all the well-wishes! I'm sure my little fighter would 'stand-up' & run around in no time! Get well soon, Emma! ("v")
